Defining Characteristics and Variables of the Electric Circuit Interaction

TESTABLE QUESTION: when does an electrc circuit interaction occur?

HYPOTHESIS: We think an electric circuit interaction can only occur when all points of the circuit are connected. We believe this because in order for the electricity to transfer from sustance A to substance B, it needs to be a closed circuit. If the circuit were to be open, the electricity would NOT be able to transfer. (Sami)

- In order for an elecrtric circuit interaction to occur, there has to be an energy source with a wire connected to an electric device. There has to be a closed circuit or there will be no energy transfer. (Sami) Explain what you mean by a "circuit" and what you mean by a "closed circuit".

What happens to the brightness of the bulb when an additional cell is added to the circuit?

(ANTHONY PLEASE FILL IN)

Can you hook up more than one bulb to a cell?

Yes, you can but the brightness of the bulb won't be as bright as it might have been with only one bulb. The energy from the cell is transfered to BOTH bulbs so the energy within the single cell is shared/distributed between BOTH bulbs. (Sami)

In order for an electric circuit interaction to occur, the material that must be included is_(parker, fill this in)_. (fill this in too please)_. Materials are conductors, (& this)_ was called non conductors.

How can you hook up more than one bulb to a cell?

You can either use a series circuit or a parallel circuit. (Sami) Explain - what is the difference?
